Bridget Beari Designs was invited to design the grand, two-story foyer of the Richmond Designers Show House. As the first space that visitors would see, Bridget Beari Designs founder and principal Susan Jamieson created a dramatic and dazzling design to set the tone for the entire New England manor style estate. To maximize that WOW factor, Jamieson covered walls, ceiling and stair risers in glowing, golden metallic paint and wallpapers from her Bridget Beari Colors and Papers collections. She played with pattern, scale and placement of the wallpaper, applying the normally vertical “Loki” horizontally on the walls and enlarging elements to create a striking and unique custom ceiling treatment. A contrasting metallic wallpaper, Bridget Beari Papers “Wellington”, was applied to the stair risers for another layer of eye-catching detail. Jamieson designed the massive modern chandelier to cast an ethereal glow upon the traditional spiral staircase and its elegant mixed metallic details.
