We are thrilled to be nominated for HGTV’s Designer for the Year in the category of Before and After Projects. This project took an outdated Colonial home and turned it into a home that is full of modern amenities, fun color, and style. This is the second home we have done for this client so we knew the look they wanted. We love when a client trusts the vision. This was a remarkable transformation so we hope that you will vote for us. Voting is daily until September 26th when the winners of each category will be announced. Look for button with the colored glass pendants!

Check out all the before and after photos below. Here is the link for voting!

Bridget Beari Color Rule #15 - A Perfect Match isn't Always the Best Choice.

Bridget Beari Color Rule:

#15
A Perfect Match isn't Always the Best Choice.

When decorating a room it is important to blend colors. Matching colors of the sofa or rug to the wall color does not create a interesting balance to a room. You want the colors to be slightly off so you can create depth of color from one item to the next.

See how the red of the wall is different from the red of the rug or drapery.

For a brilliant red try Bridget Beari Color

Max-A-Million No. 23

The green of these walls does not perfectly match the lighter green in the chairs but the contrast is nice. The walls are much richer in the darker color rather than the more chartreuse green in the chair fabric.

This is a fun green: Puddytat No. 38.

Sidebar: Max-a- Million is my client's Rottweiler. I have known them for at least 10 years. He is a big boy but sweet as can be.

Tip:

48" table fits 6 people and a 60" table fits 8 people.

Happy Painting...
